Topcon Launches Boom Level Option For X20
Topcon Positioning Systems now offers a boom leveler option for its X20 system.

Topcon's X20 Ultra Sonic Boom Leveler incorporates a unique dual-sonic/gyro system to keep a sprayer boom at the correct height in the most demanding and difficult spraying situations. The X20 Boom Leveler uses four ultrasonic sensors to maintain a user set distance between the operating spray boom and the ground or crop canopy. This allows an operator to extend spraying into the night or early morning without having to worry about boom damage in low light conditions or uneven terrain. The leveler also monitors the roll of the sprayer; the unit’s electronics and software then anticipates the lift and lower of the boom wings automatically, ensuring that the boom nozzles are at the correct height for optimal application and plant coverage. The center height control also automatically keeps the entire boom at the correct height throughout the entire spray job by adjusting the boom height as the spray tank empties.
